Cookie notice

Guardbrook keeps almost nothing in your browser. Here is the complete list, and how to remove it.

No analytics or advertising cookies

Guardbrook sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. The site shows no ads.

What is stored in your browser

When you dismiss the cookie notice, the site remembers that in your browser’s localStorage under the key guardbrook-cookie-notice, so the notice doesn’t come back on every page. It holds no personal information and is never sent to us.

Cloudflare Turnstile on pages with a form

Forms appear on /shop-my-rate, /contact and /subscribe, and at the end of many articles and calculators. Those pages use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is sending the form. Turnstile may set what it needs to do that check. It does not run on pages without a form. Cloudflare describes what it collects in its own privacy policy.

Calculators

Each calculator does its math on your own device. Guardbrook only sees those figures if you go on to the rate-shopping request form, which may carry three of them with your request.

Links in Guardbrook’s emails may carry a short campaign code after a “#” sign. When the page opens, a script takes that code out of the address bar and sends a note of the visit, through the site’s own server, to our email service provider. Some email links point to a short path on guardbrook.com, and opening one lets the email service provider record the click. Neither uses a cookie. The privacy policy describes both.

How to clear or block them

  • To clear the cookie notice’s choice, delete the site data for guardbrook.com in your browser’s settings (often under “Privacy” or “Site settings”). The notice will show again on your next visit.
  • You can block cookies and site storage in your browser’s settings. The articles and calculators still work. Forms may not send if the bot check can’t run.
